Frequently Asked

  • What can I expect in a counselling session?

Each session is a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Sessions typically last 50 minutes, and we work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.

  • How do I know if counselling is right for me?

Counselling can help with a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and personal growth. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure, a session can help you gain clarity and support.

  • How often should I attend sessions?

Frequency varies depending on your needs and goals. Many people start with weekly or fortnightly sessions and adjust as they progress. We can discuss what feels right for you.

  • Is counselling confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in sessions is confidential, except in situations where there is risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law. I will explain the limits of confidentiality clearly before we begin.

  • How do I book a session, and what are the fees?

You can book a session via the booking page on this website as a new or an existing client. Or, if preferable, by txt /email. Session fees are $120 each ($100 concession), payable by bank transfer or cash. I will explain cancellation policies and answer any questions you may have have during the first session so you know what to expect.

  • What makes your approach to counselling different?

My approach combines person-centred values with contemplative practices like mindfulness, empathy, and non-judgmental acceptance. I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where your individuality is honoured and your experiences are explored in a meaningful, practical way.
